Comedic western movie that follows the exploits of a couple of gold prospectors in Alaska. After striking the mother lode of gold in Alaska, George Pratt (Stewart Granger) sends his partner Sam McCord (John Wayne) back to Seattle with instructions to bring back his fiancée. When Sam gets there, he finds out that George's wife-to-be has run off already married another man. Not knowing what to do, Sam brings back a prostitute named Michelle Angel (Capucine) as a substitute. But Angel has a small misunderstanding. She thinks Sam wants her for himself and slowly she begins to fall in love with him on the boat trip back to Alaska. When they arrive up north, George rejects the girl, though his young brother Billy (Fabian) is very interested in her. Sam finally decides to pursue Angel. All the while, George and Sam's fortune is at stake as con man Frankie Canon (Ernie Kovacs) attempts to steal their claim.
