Nowhere To Run

Nowhere to Run is a modern take on the damsel-in-distress-rescued-by-a-reluctant-hero tale. Clydie Anderson (Rossana Arquette) and her kids Mike (Kieran Culkin) and Bree (Tiffany Taubman) are being bullied by developer Franklin Hale (Josh Ackland) and his trusted thug Dunston (Ted Levine) into selling their patch of land. Their paths crossed with Sam Gillen (Jean-Claude van Damme), an escaped convict in the run from the law after a botched bank robbery. Gillen saved the family from the thugs and became friendly with them. After Gillen's identity was exposed by Clydie's lover, Lonnie (Edward Blatchford), a local sheriff, Gillen decided to leave to spare the family from danger. He then has to evade the pursuing police, and came back rescue Clydie and the kids from the diabolical plans of Hale.
