Henry Poole Is Here

Life sucks and then you die. At least, that's what Henry Poole (Luke Wilson) was aiming for. After leaving his suburban childhood home for the great big yonder, and finding it couldn't possibly live up to his expectations, Henry heads back home hoping for nothing more than to live out his days a bitter, cloistered recluse. He doesn't believe in love, and for the most part, people have disappointed him. He wants to be left alone. His neighbors have other ideas, however. The welcome wagon roars in, and no matter how hard he tries, no one will let him be a hermit. Then people start thinking a weird stain on his garage wall is a religious icon, and Henry gets swept into that typical 21st century problem: his home has become a place for pilgrims. He has to decide to either fight to the death to lock himself in the dark, or step into the light.
