Plot

Nations tremble before mercenary Roland Gallienne. Now, weary of war, he seeks peace at the healing hands of the Chatreauroux monastery healer. The lovely woman is a child of his enemies, and tries to kill him--but to everyone's surprise he shows her mercy and takes her with him. Their attraction can't be denied, and now, at the brink of a new battle, they must both struggle with an inner war--of the heart.
