One God or Three?

Plot

It is safe to say that most Christians would be at a loss to explain the biblical doctrine of the trinity of God. At its heart, however, this teaching is really no different than the central Jewish doctrine of the unity of God. To properly understand the true biblical concept of the nature of God, the term tri-unity should be used in place of trinity. Tri-unity conveys the idea that God is one, but at the same time consists of three persons. (All Scripture texts used are taken from The New Scofield Reference Bible.)
