True or False: More Christians believe in evangelism than practice it. Unfortunately, the answer is true. Most believers are not concerned about evangelism because they don't see how it will benefit them. Yet all God's commands, if obeyed, are calculated to bring us our greatest happiness. Christ's call to make disciples is no exception. Most books on the topic emphasize personal evangelism. This one focuses on church-centered evangelism. Reaching out by and through the church has the greatest potential for fulfilling our mandate to make disciples. People won to Christ by the church are more likely to stay with the church as life-long disciples. A Celebration of Disciple Making shows lay people and church leaders how the church can take the initiative in making disciples.
