This text sets out to show that Christ's call to unselfish living is neither out of date nor impossible. In fact, the author argues that this belief is the key to survival in today's highspeed, impersonal society. He argues that to become a servant is essential for every Christian and he examines all the aspects of servanthood in turn - its influence, perils, consequences and rewards. The book takes a practical and encouraging view of the servant's need to be obedient, to give, to forgive and forget, following in the steps of Jesus.
