In America, a country founded on biblical principles, the culture is no longer sure whether the Bible is true, or not. If it isn't, how do we explain what we see around us -- the death, disease, and destruction?

The early chapters of the Book of Genesis present the creation account, but today, that view is seen as the simplistic dogma of Bible "literalists." So how do we understand the world as it is? This critical book discusses subjects that the larger Church world isn't answering: How much of the historical record of Genesis Genesis 1-11 is reliable? What does the subject of origins have to do with us today? Why was Noah's flood global and not local, or in some sense myth? How does the doctrine of creation relate to the gospel?
