"The good news of the Christian faith declares that persons do not need to stay the way they are." On this basis, William F. Keucher offers the hope that the people of God can have a larger freedom in which to fulfill their mission. He calls the church to set out on a new exodus and to claim this freedom. He challenges the church to fulfill its evangelical mission by adopting the style of God's incarnation in Jesus Christ in the world, and he calls the reader to personal commitment.
