As one walks into this community in KwaZulu-Natal, orphaned children can be seen everywhere, most of them left alone as a result of the AIDS pandemic. And in the midst of everything, Heather Reynolds and her husband, Patrick, can be seen feeding and nursing the over 95 children that call God's Golden Acre their home. With the AIDS rate in KwaZulu-Natal at over 36 percent, starving and abandoned children must learn to fend for themselves. Over the years, Heather and Patrick have rubbed shoulders with death and offered comforting prayers for the hurting, all the while living out their faith and allowing God to guide their lives.
