Initially written for the Maine Pegamtite Workshop held at Poland, Maine in 2002, this is an expanded edition of that book containing about 300 new color images. This book will meet the needs of anyone interested in learning more about pegmatites and the secrets that they can reveal about the formation of the exotic minerals and gems that they contain. This book is not intended for the professional mineralogist or petrologist, but does contain a sufficiently comprehensive coverage that the serious reader can develop a thorough understanding of pegmatite mineralogy and genesis.
