Live Aid was filmed live in 1985. The idea for this benefit came from a musician (Bob Geldoff). This benefit concert brought together all types of music and artist from around the world. This concert series featured popular musicians (Bono) coming together to help raise money for Africa's famine crises. The film includes footage of the African people suffering from the effects of famine. This showed the inspiration for this colossal collaboration. No other effort to this extent has been accomplished since the Live Aid concert. It is documented that this effort did raise a large amount of money for the African people.
