
Scandal (2011)
A former media relations consultant to the President, Olivia Pope (Kerry Washington) dedicates her life to protecting and defending the public images of our nation's elite. After leaving the White House, the power consultant opened her own firm, hoping to start a new chapter -- both professionally and personally -- but she can't seem to completely cut ties with her past. Slowly it becomes apparent that her staff, who specialize in fixing the lives of other people, can't quite fix the ones closest at hand -- their own.
Fitz begins his second term with a plan to make positive changes for the nation. Meanwhile, Mellie has trouble dealing with her son's death; and Olivia's absence leaves a void on her team.
In order for Fitz to make the biggest impact with his State of the Union address on gun control, Cyrus sets out to recruit a power couple who are influential on the issue. Meanwhile, Mellie's personal struggle gets national attention.
An old friend returns for help after her daughter goes missing, Cyrus has an awkward run in during a business breakfast, and Jake uses his connections to get some answers. Meanwhile, Mellie becomes obsessed with a national news story and David goes to great lengths to prove himself.
Fitz asks Olivia to shut down a situation that could destroy the Grant family's reputation. Meanwhile, Huck and Quinn realize there is more than they originally thought when it comes to Catherine's case, and Rowan calls on an old friend to do his dirty work.
Jake doesn't return Olivia's calls, which distracts her from Catherine's case. Elsewhere, Cyrus continues to get tangled up with Michael; David gets a taste of victory; and Fitz wants answers about Jerry's demise.
Olivia is summoned by a convicted assassin who claims he was wrongly accused, and Mellie becomes intrigued by a former first lady whose stories seem to be strikingly similar to her own. Meanwhile, Elizabeth inches closer to corrupting the White House and Fitz makes a shocking move.
Unable to believe Jake is guilty, Olivia seeks out Tom for more information; Huck plays with fire.
Fitz and Jake continue to fight over Olivia, but Olivia needs them to focus on the real prize, taking down Command. Meanwhile, Huck longs to connect with his family and Quinn continues tracking Kubiak. Back at the White House, Cyrus exploits finally catch up to him, but Elizabeth North's plan is much bigger than anyone ever expected.
Quinn and Huck uncover West Angola conspiracy, Jake goes after Rowan, Cyrus's explicit photos hit the internet and the President underestimated Andrew.
Olivia is kidnapped and held hostage in an unknown location.
Olivia is still missing and the team comes together to do whatever it takes to find her.
Olivia officially goes up for bidding.
As the bidding for Olivia Pope continues, the gladiators fight to save her but The White House fears that they may lose her for good.
A tragedy in D.C. gains national attention and the White House must deal with their problematic VP.
David Rosen is caught off guard when a surprise visitor reveals insider information about B613 that could take down the White House and destroy Pope and Associates.
Olivia springs into action when she hears of a woman intending to expose sex secrets of some of DC's most elite. Meanwhile, Elizabeth fears that Mellie's sister could be detrimental to their political aspirations.
When Michael gets himself in a bad situation, the Gladiators launch into damage control and put pressure on Cyrus to move up the wedding. Meanwhile, David takes the first step in executing his plan to take down B613.
David tries to recruit former B613 agents to strengthen his case. Meanwhile, a congressman asks Olivia to help his father escape his looming death penalty.
Rowan's return raises the stakes for those targeting B613; Fitz needs an important bill passed.
Those trying to take down B613 must take drastic measures to ensure their safety; the nation turns against Mellie, forcing Cyrus to come to her defense.
Vice President Ross continues to defy the Grant administration when she hires Olivia Pope to defend a woman in the Navy. Meanwhile, Quinn and Huck must do what they do best to get answers about B613 and Mellie's campaign for Senate continues to be a struggle.
Everything comes to a head in the shocking season finale when Olivia and the team finally make some big moves to take down Command, and Mellie's fate is sealed as the election results are announced.
