an untraditional travel guide to the U.S.
From Library Journal Davis, author of The Ecologist's Guide to France (R. & E. Miles, 1988), has compiled a unique travel guide for these environmentally aware times. Sections are filled with specific entries of places where environmentally conscious travelers can see and/or become involved with pro-Earth projects. Entries range from vegetarian restaurants to museums. Also included are alternative energy sites, waste management sites, peace sites, and environmental study camps and trips. Entries provide addresses, phone numbers, hours, and costs, plus other pertinent information. Both general and geographical indexes are included. This book pulls together a vast amount of information, some of which may be found in other places, but much of which is new. A welcome addition to travel collections, this is recommended for public libraries.- Lisa J. Cochenet, Rhineland er Dist . Lib., Wis.Copyright 1991 Reed Business Information, Inc.
