Although the Chicago Cubs have not won a World Series title since 1908, they and the friendly confines of Wrigley Field have enjoyed the devotion of baseball enthusiasts throughout America for generations. This is a collection of writing on the Cubs, taken from books, magazines and newspapers, together with essays by literary figures. Added to this revised and expanded edition is a selection from Bleacher - A Summer in Wrigley by Lonnie Wheeler, as well as work by Bill Veeck and D.H.Fleming.
