There's a cat burglar loose in the city. When J. Jonah Jameson becomes one of his victims, he offers a $1000 reward for the criminal's capture. It is only afterwards that he realizes Spider-Man might actually be the one to earn the reward. Meanwhile, Ned Leeds has proposed marriage to Betty Brant.
