Plot

The Six Day War the struggle which engaged our entire people proved conclusively that all the tribes and the ingathered from the seventy diasporas are indeed part of a ONE PEOPLE. Many of these new immigrants and espcially their children, stood embattled in the war shoulder to shoulder with their brothers, linked with them by a comon fate, a common future and a common heritage. The term "the Other Israel," referring to this segment in our population, was erased from our dictionary the the Six Day War.

The 680,995 Jews of Asia and Africa who came to Israel in the two decades between May 15, 1948 and December 31, 1968 not only became integrated in the land but also helped their brethern from the Islamic lands to take root. Today, Israel's existence is hardly conceivable without them.
