Plot

Janet Stevens is a young woman who moves to New York to become a model. She is naive to the ways of the world and curious about her father's Jewish roots. Eventually she gets married and has a family. Her breakup with her husband puts her back in touch with her roots. Janet goes through a learning and soul-searching process, becoming a more independent woman. She meets another man who becomes an important part of her life.
