LC Classification Picture Books
In "The Colors of My Jewish Year," author Marji Gold-Vukson and illustrator Madeline Wikler use a clever approach to teach young children about Jewish holidays. Each of the major feasts is represented by a color associated with an item that pertains to that occasion.
Each color/item/occasion is presented in a question-and-answer format. Example: "What is WHITE? The cover of the Torah on Yom Kippur. That is WHITE." The illustrations are simple and iconic. Overall, this is a good book for reinforcing Jewish education.
