This book offers well thought out feminist analyses and a wealth of knowledge about the personal experiences of Jewish women. The author expand our awareness of the effect of Jewish culture, history, and the attitudes of surrounding socieity of the psychology of Jewish Women. Essential reading for Jewish women who want to understand themselves and for the therapsits who work with them. The editors have certainly met their goal of expanding the boundaries of psychology. Some of the chapters are highly original and all provide an excellent educational and consciousness-raising experience for both Jewish and non-Jewish readers. The blend of scholarly, experiential, literary and clinical approaches to the material makes a lively and interesting book. This is a wonderful anthology full of wisdom information and steady quiet courage the collection is rich, very rich and contains unique and creative suggestions about Jewish experience both sacred and secular and has implications for Jewish psychologyical suffering, clinical thory, and pracice.
