The Missing Years describes the small town childhood of Richard Lasson, his trials in the First World War, his life as a student and subseuent carer as a physician reaching the top of his profession. But it is also a dramatic account of survival against all odss during the darkest period of recent European history, the evidence of a witness to the last days of German Jewry during the Holocaust and the downfall of Nazi tyranny.
