Returning from Daria's apartment, as she prepares to go to work, Renee Montoya discovers that one of her weapons is missing from her gun safe, and a bag of smack has been left in it's place. Before she can do anything, Mannie Esperanza from Internal Affairs is outside her door to arrest her. What she doesn't know is that the arrest is for the murder of Marty Lipari, a rape suspect who was suing her.

An airtight frame is being built around Montoya, exposing her sexual orientation to the world and implicating her in Lipari's murder while she's off balance. Only one person in her life could orchestrate something like this.
