Dallas
Arguably the best television series ever produced, and certainly the best soap opera ever produced, Dallas had it all. Beautiful women, expensive cars, and men playing Monopoly with real buildings. It had the best trans-season cliffhanger in history that had the whole world asking "Who shot J.R.?" Dallas is an important part of American History, if not world history.
Bobby and April's long awaited, romantic honeymoon in Paris is interrupted by Sheila Foley, an enigmatic, well-to-do woman, while J.R.'s frustration mounts when he realizes all escape routes from the mental institution are blocked.
Bobby becomes embroiled in a dangerous game of charades with Sheila Foley in an effort to rescue his kidnapped bride, while J.R. faces a life threatening situation in the asylum.
J.R. relies on fellow patients in the asylum as he schemes to secure his freedom, while Bobby turns to his cyclist friends in a last ditch effort to rescue his imperiled bride.
Still playing the charade, Bobby attends an important oil industry reception with Sheila, unaware of the ominous events about to change his life forever. Meanwhile, back in Dallas, J.R. ties up loose ends now that he is out of the sanitarium.
The charade played out, Bobby returns from his honeymoon in Paris, a changed man and alone.
Despondent about April, Bobby turns his back on Ewing Oil, while J.R. gets a surprise visit from the only woman he has ever loved. Meanwhile, Michelle is furious with Bobby for returning to Dallas without April.
With the hoodlum Johnny Dancer dead, Carter McKay, Cliff Barnes, and Liz Adams all are likely murder suspects. In other developments, J.R. courts Vanessa, but his hold on her may be tenuous.
Venezuelan oil magnate Lee Ann De La Vega attempts to cast a spell over J.R. Ewing when she maneuvers to buy his precious Ewing Oil. Despite J.R.'s vehement objections, Bobby decides to rid himself of the oil company.
Things go from bad to worse for J.R. when Ewing Oil slips further from his grasp and James makes a shocking announcement about Cally in the midst of J.R.'s engagement toast to Vanessa.
A forgotten moment from J.R.'s past returns to haunt him as Lee Ann takes control of Ewing Oil and plots with Michelle to destroy every facet of J.R.'s life.
J.R. contemplates romancing Lee Ann in his effort to win back Ewing Oil, unaware that he's falling into her trap.
Lee Ann continues her sly seduction of J.R., taking the final steps in her elaborate plan to drastically change his personal and professional life forever.
LeeAnn De La Vega sells Ewing Oil to Michelle Stevens. Michelle then fires J.R., Phyllis and Sly. Bobby enlists the help of Liz Adams to find Hillary Taylor. He finds out Hillary's daughter Jory is in Malibu and goes to find her.
Bobby gets a jolt of adrenaline when he learns that Sheila Foley will be in town soon, but he can't ignore his growing involvement with his unsuspecting ally, Jory, Sheila's daughter.
Southfork experiences another turbulent marriage and this time J.R. plays referee as James and Michelle duke it out. Meanwhile, Liz bargains to sell her company to J.R. in exchange for Cliff's appointment as the government's energy czar.
Bobby and J.R. get a respite from their troubles when they take their sons - James, John Ross and Christopher - on an authentic Southfork cattle drive.
J.R. treads lightly as he keeps Debra Lynn, the woman who claims to be James' wife, at bay while manipulating James into returning to his current wife, Michelle.
The whole family finds out about James' other wife and son. J.R. gets a terrible health report from his doctor. Jory stops by the ranch to confide in Bobby. John Ross is jealous because of all the attention that James' baby is getting.
J.R. finds out that Cally's baby is his and hires a detective to find her. James faces increased pressure to choose between Debra Lynn and Michelle. Cliff and Michelle hatch a plan to send Debra Lynn packing. Clayton comes back to the ranch with news. Bobby begins spending more time with Jory.
At her daughter Jory's request, Hillary Taylor, aka Sheila Foley, agrees to meet with Bobby at Southfork, unaware of the danger that lurks there.
J.R., nearing a breakdown from recent losses, faces another major defeat when a vengeful enemy from his past returns with unwelcome news. In other developments, Cliff is shocked to learn that his nemesis is now his business partner.
J.R. is drunk and dejected; he has lost his business to Cliff Barnes, his son has moved to England, and the ownership of his beloved home was given to Bobby. He wants to end it all, when an otherworldly creature calling himself "Adam" offers to show him what a world where J.R. Ewing was never born would be like. In this alternate reality, Gary would be the first son and would run Ewing Oil -- into the ground but become a successful lawyer. Jock would kill himself over it, leading to Miss Ellie's death "from a broken heart" two years later. Sue Ellen would be a successful soap opera actress married to Nicholas Pearce. Kristin Shepard would be a con artist, while Bobby would be a divorced deadbeat dad with a gambling addiction. There would be a third Ewing son named Jason, a conniving, manipulative real estate broker who got into the business by selling off Southfork. J.R. sees more of what a world where he was never born would be like: Ray Krebbs does not know that Jock is his real father, but has a happy family life despite a debilitating back injury; Cally Harper is still in Haleyville married to an abusive redneck; and Cliff Barnes is Vice-President of the United States of America, until the President suffers a stroke.
