Gallop Racer is a Sony Playstation video game that has long been available in Japan and was finally released in North America in September 1999. It has gotten great reviews and the comments I have heard from people who have played it were quite favorable. Comes with over 1400 horses and you can also breed your own from these. You can play as spectator, jockey, or "manager" at 27 different racetracks. Two player mode lets you race against a friend. Only thing missing from the game is the ability to wager on the races.
