Description

Welcome to 19th-century London, but please, watch out for the monsters and don't take deep breaths while outside. A mad scientist named Adam Crowley has released an evil upon the city; a terrible virus that changes people into hideous, deformed creatures. As luck would have it, two brave heroes have decided to take on Crowley and put an end to his cruel experiment. This duo includes Father Ignatius Blackward, a priest as knowledgeable in staff fighting as he is in the occult, and Nadia F, an immunology expert and skilled gymnast. Play as either one of the characters, each with his or her own special moves and techniques, as you travel through twenty 3D levels set across gothic London. Help the heroic duo defeat the hideous monstrosities that Crowley has created, including zombies, werewolves, demons, insects, harpies, hellhounds and other creatures of the night. Of course, you'll have to worry about the virus taking hold of your character, and only fighting will keep you from falling to the disease. In order to help you survive, an adrenaline meter is available at the top of the screen to show how close your character is to infection. To keep this meter high, you'll need to keep fighting! Over 28 moves are at your disposal, including hacking off limbs, performing decapitations and other gruesome displays of violence. Players can also obtain power-ups as they explore the streets of London, which include guns, repulsive smoke, dynamite, proximity mines, healing and eight more devices. Nightmare Creatures also offers two difficulty levels, an option to view combos as you progress through the game and the ability to turn off the adrenaline meter. The game supports the Rumble Pak accessory for vibration feedback and uses a password system so players can continue the adventure after each level. Those who would rather use a Controller Pak to save progress can do so by inserting it while the game is paused. Are you prepared to face the Nightmare Creatures?
