Stake: Fortune Fighter

Description

Stake is a multiplayer combat title featuring a mix of indoor and outdoor environments, each offering interactive elements, spanning several screens in length. As one of eight characters individually rated in attack power, defense, speed, and temperament, players seek out their opponents and attempt to eliminate them using a variety of melee and magical attacks. Littered throughout the environments are additional weapons in the form of grenades, ice, rocks, hot oil, gasses, and more. A transparent map appears in the upper right corner of the screen to help players navigate their surroundings. Played primarily from an overhead perspective, the game utilizes Xbox technology for advanced lighting effects, character models consisting of 4,000 polygons apiece, and a variety of animations for fluid movement. Two modes of play include Death Match and Team Death Match, with the latter mode supporting up to four players on a split screen.
