Description

WCW Nitro is yet another professional wrestling title to appear on the Nintendo 64 after the huge success of WWF Warzone and the Playstation version of this very same game. Game modes include Exhibition, Exhibition Tag Team, Tournament, Vs, Vs Tag Team and Royal Rumble modes. This means players can not only play this wrestling title with one-player but also two, three and even four players in Royal Rumble. WCW Nitro also features no less than sixty-four playable characters with sixteen of these playable from the on-set. These fighters include such favourites as Hulk Hogan, Giant, Randy Savage, Sting, and Nash alongside a ton of other fighters. One excellent feature is the choice of the ring to do battle in offering up to seven instantly selectable rings that include such known locations as Nitro, NWO, American Bash, Halloween Havoc and WCW. Each fighter also has a large list of diverse moves created appropriately upon their real life counterpart right down from move selection to execution of the move. Other options include selection of match time from one to five to ten minutes or unlimited, ring out from unlimited to sixty seconds, three different difficulties, ability to turn surprise attacks on or off, ring selection, sound balances, sound mode and control configuration. WCW Nitro technically is also pretty much a standard port of the Playstation original while the game features support for multi-player gaming of up to four controls, memory card and finally rumble pak allowing players to literally feel every crushing blow.
