You even have the option to play as one of the 1998 expansion teams -- Arizona Diamondbacks or Tampa Bay Devil Rays. When the players on the current roster are not getting the job done, you can call up one of eight players from the farm team. As the season progresses, 12 statistical categories are tracked.
