Savannah from Savannah: Savannah Phillips recently got her master's degree, but to prove herself to her mother, she moves back home to Savannah, Georgia to write for the local newspaper. Her mother, Victoria, uses her former beauty queen fame to run people's lives, but an investigative journalism piece by Savannah uncovers some family secrets. Savannah comes undone: In the wake of family secrets being revealed, Victoria Phillips chains herself to a monument and makes the news. Savannah, still working on the paper, tries to avoid drama, but gets pulled into the fray.
