Do you love God from a safe distance?
Our God is a loving God -- but He's also an unpredictable one. Just when we're feeling comfortable, He might suddenly tell us, Ärise and go to Nineveh"or "Come, take up your cross and follow me."
GOD ISN'T SAFE.
And so we keep our distance. Like Adam, we hide from him. Like Peter, we try to send Him away. Like Johah, we run in the opposite direction. And we end up in "borderland", a strange and safe place that lacks everything we really seek: passion, power and freedom.
