Plot

Computer whiz Jordan Buchanan meets an odd professor claiming to have piles of research on a feud her family is involved in, and the treasure that started it. Still smarting from FBI Agent Noah Clayborne's pronouncement that her life is too predictable, Jordan meets the professor in Texas to investigate. Shortly thereafter, the professor's body turns up in the trunk of a car. Luckily, Jordan's got Noah for backup. Joyce Bean's rendition of the Scots-Texan professor alone is worth a listen, and she does some great work with the other characters, too notably Noah and Jordan, plus a corrupt sheriff, a gossipy waitress, and a lecherous, none-too-bright mechanic.
