Murder Without Motive

Plot

For Inspector Clive Ross, the murder of music store proprietor Harold Laine made absolutely no sense at all. He could not find a motive, because Laine had no enemies. Then when Walter Laine, Harold's cousin, was shot down in Ross's presence, the murder-without-motive appeared to have a motive after all. But apprehending the assassin was not Ross's primary worry. He wanted the man behind the killer, and it would take another attempt on Walter's life before he got close to his target.
