Gay and lesbian teachers have traditionally dwelled in the deepest of closets. But increasing numbers of young people are now being served by educators who are out and proud. ONE TEACHER IN 10 is a compilation of these stories. Set in small-town America as well as the country's urban centers, it chronicles both their struggles and victories as these educators have put their own careers at risk in their fight for visibility, equality, and acceptance.
