The Country Store is a feast of crafts, recipes, and decorations that captures the spirit of a simpler time. The first section, The Kitchen, provides over 70 simple recipes for mouthwatering country fare using the traditional techniques of baking, pickling, and preserving. The second section, The Bathroom, uses aromatic herbs and flowers to create simple, sweet-smelling hand creams, bath oils, body scrubs, hair shampoos, and rinses based on traditional recipes that have been carefully adapted to meet modern-day requirements.
