Over two hundred years ago, the bells at Mission San Juan Capistrano, the Jewel of the California missions, called those who lived within the Capistrano Valley in California to celebrate Mass. This volunteer-produced cookbook invites cooks and history lovers alike to enjoy featured recipes that reflect the tastes of the region and vignettes of history, as well as Mission lore. The book features historic recipes, which cooks of today will especially appreciate.
