Description

Low-cut outfits and high-tech espionage. Hana wants some more.

What is Fear Effect? It's the sound of your heartbeat in a dark corridor awaiting an armed sentry coming around the corner. It's the force on your brain that blinds you to anything but intuition in a gunfight. It's the edge that makes you do and say whatever runs through your mind on your mind and feel no shame. It's being in the same room with a strong woman and not feeling intimidated. In Fear Effect, you had plenty of experience everything about the Fear Effect. And now, the follow-up prequel Fear Effect: Retro Helix goes even further. A decidedly adult adventure game, with two, shall we say, uninhibited women leading an action-packed mission of espionage and physical danger. In keeping with the mature subject matter, the women Hana and Rain have a "close" relationship, and there is plenty of adult situations throughout in addition to some cheeky language in their verbal quips. Just don't mistake this game as nothing more than a naughty giggle -- these girls may be catty, but when it comes to getting the job done, they do their work with the business end of mean pair of revolvers. A visceral game much in the vein of Resident Evil, with wall-to-wall action against super-charged foes, and all done in a beautiful and entirely unique art style that pushes the PlayStation game console to its max with 3D characters looking to be straight out Japanese anime, Fear Effect: Retro Helix might be your idea of the next generation in mature gaming.
