Plot

About the Author Needlework and art have been a part of Bea Yurkerwich's life as long as she can remember. Bea's early occupations included map coloring and drafting survey maps. As a hobby she hand painted needlepoint canvases of birds, seashells, and flowers for area needlework shops. Bea won numerous awards for her oil and acrylic paintings, crochet, knitting, cross-stitch, macrame' ceramics, and gem-bead necklaces, but once she discovered quiltmaking, it became her favorite creative outlet. With the help of books and quilting magazines, Bea taught herself how to quilt. After making several traditional quilts, she went on to design and make original quilts, many with variations of traditional blocks. Among her many designs, several of which have been published in magazines, flowers have been a recurrent theme. So get ready to take an enjoyable stroll through Bea's "pattern garden." Product Description Create a year-round garden in your home by making eight beautiful floral quilts. Bea Yurkerwich's floral designs are so easy to piece that even a beginner can accomplish them. Once you have made a full-size quilt from her pattern you'll want to use individual blocks to make a coordinating pillow tops or wallhangings.
