The word "sibling" in this booklet is used to refer to children who grow up in the same family, whether they are step-children, foster children, adopted children, or children by birth. The booklet explains the nature of sibling sexual abuse and its effects, and presents information regarding sexual curiosity between siblings, the relationship between sibling sexual abuse and other forms of abuse, the factors contributing to sibling sexual abuse, and difficulties in recognizing abuse. Finally, it suggests what to do in cases of sibling abuse and how to prevent such abuse.
