This book defines the role of stress in four major types of illness: cardiovascular disease, cancer, arthritis and respiratory disease. It's three major sections include a survey of the sources of stress, guidelines for the evaluation of one's own stress levels and profiles of various disease prone personalities. The author also includes a practical section concerned with the prevention of stress related diseases through techniques such as meditation and biofeedback.
