On their way back to see Sasha's father, Hawk and Dove are drawn into an investigation of a grave robber at a town near an Army waste dump. Someone is digging up graves and removing the eyes from the bodies. They discover that the caretaker of the waste dump had a son, who can only live on the living eyes of people. When he attacks Dove, Hawk is forced to kill him to save Dove's life. Since the Checkmate agents are constantly one step behind the two fugitives, someone has decided to call in some help. The Suicide Squad.
