Almost to Sasha's fathers on the East Coast, the duo is detoured when Wiley sees that one of his band mates has a show nearby. It turns out that Vigilante and Vixen have set things up to draw the pair to them, rather than chasing after them. But the Suicide Squad also turns up, disappearing with Dove, who escapes and finds himself in the Caribbean. He is weakened by being separated from Hawk, but heads north to her father's place. In the meantime, the Checkmate agents convice Sasha they are not trying to hurt her and they are not with the Suicide Squad. This is reinforced when Count Vertigo attacks the trio as they fly to Sasha's father. Some discord in the Squad allows the three to escape, but the Squad is reinforced and sets out to attack the home of Sasha's father, where Hawk and Dove have reunited and started explaining things to him.
