The time trapped JSA members and their allies in ancient Egypt are losing their battle with Ahk-Ton, possessing the element powers of Metamorpho, and Vandal Savage, holding the Staff of Ra. Nabu sends Black Adam and Captain Marvel to the Western Lands, the realm of the dead, looking for Ra in hope that he will come to stop Savage from desecrating his power.After defeating Savage, the future JSAers must trust Black Adam to awaken them in the future, where he does so. Captain Marvel and Black Adam have a revealing discussion, then Dr. Fate attempts to awaken his wife, only to discover that it is not Lyta, but Dawn Granger that has been in the coma.
