Black Adam's team is fighting the JSA in Kahndaq. Things are getting harder for the JSA, with Nabu possessing Dr. Fate to side with Adam and Rick Tyler being mortally injured by Nemesis.Hector finds that his wife is still alive, imprisoned by Nabu along with all the previous heroes that were Dr. Fate. But they pull Nabu back into the amulet to discuss things with him. Rex Tyler has been sent out of his lab at the timepoint, leaving Rick there suspended in time and with no way back. Eclipso takes control of Alex Montez and uses him to kill Nemesis. Determined not to be used by the demon, Alex jumps off of a building and kills himself.Dr. Mid-Nite is in contact with the Atom, attempting to do long-distance brain surgery on Brainwave to remove a growth in his brain that is apparently giving him his powers and driving him insane. Billy Batson is tied up, so that Black Adam can try to convince him to join Adam.Black Adam and Brainwave confront the JSA at Montez's body, accusing them of killing him and Nemesis. As Atom attempts to finish the surgery, he discovers that he is not alone inside Brainwave's head.
