The JSA are facing off with Thunderbolt and Jakeem in the 5th Dimension while Nabu is facing Mordru in the ruins of Fate's tower. Hector and Lyta Hall are apparently finally saved from the frozen wasteland they have been trapped in. Nabu and Mordru fight across some familiar worlds before ending up back on Earth, while the true villain is finally found out and defeated in the 5th Dimension. The dimension travelers return just in time for Jakeem to save Nabu, who leaves after giving some ominous warnings.
