The Surfer continues to defend Zenn-La against the Kree Armada. During the assault, he breaks into the command ship and strikes a deal with Nenora. She believes that his involvement was the result of a Skrull trick, but she cannot allow the defiance to appear unpunished. The deal is as follows: Zenn-La, which was an innocent pawn, will be spared so long as it is not used as a sanctuary. In return, they will continue to hunt the Silver Surfer once he is clear of the planetary system.
