Soldier Blue begins with a horrible massacre by the Cheyenne Indian tribe. After it's all over and the smoke dies down, only two people are left, Cresta (Candice Bergen) and Honus (Peter Strauss). There's some interesting play between the two characters, since Cresta is more supportive of the Indian's cause than Honus. But at the same time, Honus is finding himself falling in love with Cresta, even though her beliefs upset him. In spite of their differences, they work together and find a way to reach the calvary's camp and find out what's really been going on out in the woods.
