Swamp Thing, Vol. 2

Tefé dreams of playing with storybook characters, some of who may represent real people. They warn her about the "Bad Man" who steals children from their families, and when the flee, Matthew the Raven appears. The next morning, she is cranky. Swamp Thing takes her outside to play; while he and Abby work together Les Perdu appears! But she is not afraid of it, and she speaks to a spirit inside who tells her others used to be there but are gone now. Abby returns her to the porch but when Tefé's kitten scratches, she injures it badly with her powers, forcing Swamp Thing to kill it! Tefé is developing problems, and with her powers anyone is at risk. Swamp Thing, over Abby's objections, chooses to consult the Parliament of Trees. They opine that as a being of meat a certain measure of cruelty is inherent. But they say they will debate the request and reply soon. Abby takes Tefé into town, and while she chats with a friend someone kidnaps Tefé! Meanwhile Tommy, the only soul left within Les Perdu, remembers the Bad Man... And then... he catches a familiar odor... the Bad Man has returned to the swamp. The man who drowned him! Les Perdu begins to prowl. Swamp Thing is surprised when police bring Abby home; that is how he learns that Tefé is missing...
