A boy named Tony is dying, and before he dies he wants to find Aquaman, a man he greatly respects. He sneaks out, heading for the nearest body of water, a lake. A trucker gives him a ride and tells him how he saw Aquaman, along with Green Lantern and Martian Manhunter, do a charity demonstration of their abilities. Terrorists invaded and the heroes wrapped them up. But then, the trucker concludes, he snuck around to the tent and saw it was all rigged! Harnesses, helicopters, trampolines - none of it was real. Tony next meets a woman who saw Aquaman when she was vacationing at the Hamptons. He emerged from the water chasing whalers who used a submarine, and used water blasts and his ability to fly to defeat the. Tony doesn't believe her and says so, and she leaves him. Finally, he meets a man who tells how the Scavenger once ran afoul of the Sea King while stealing vaccines. Aquaman tells him the vaccines are needed to help children with measles and the Scavenger relents, and helps him distribute the drugs where they're needed. How does he know this? He used to BE the Scavenger, until Aquaman helped straighten him out. Now he has a business of his own, and sometimes, as now, Aquaman drops by to fulfill a sick child's dream...
