Modern approaches to the diagnosis and instruction of multi-handicapped children
“Deaf-Blind Children and their Education” is a report of the fourth international conference on deaf-blind persons in Europe, held in August, 1968 at the ‘Instituut voor Doven’ in Sint Michielsgestel, Netherlands, at which over 70 people from 15 countries took part. Some speakers spoke of psychiatric disorders, the development of language and the correlation between motoric development and learning. The report appears in two part, part one focusing on infantile autistic behaviour and experience while part two focuses on deaf-blind children and their education.
