Bewitched
The long-running ABC sitcom Bewitched starred Elizabeth Montgomery as Samantha Stephens, a pert, perky, suburban housewife who happened to be a genuine witch, with all the usual magical powers. Samantha was married to Darrin Stephens (played during the first five seasons by Dick York, and in the final three seasons by Dick Sargent), a rising young advertising executive who worked at the New York firm of McMahon and Tate. A mere mortal, Darrin insisted that Samantha -- or "Sam," as he called her -- behave like an ordinary human being, and that she keep her witchcraft under wraps at all times. Sam tried her best to oblige, but the situations occurring in the course of the series invariably required her to cast a few spells and chant a few incantations to get her husband or herself out of jams.
Sam must retrieve Tabitha who has run away into the book 'Jack and the Beanstalk.'
Enter Esmeralda as Samantha's magical maid who has a tendency to make things appear when she sneezes and fades out at the sight of mortal Darrin.
Bumbling Esmeralda zaps up Julius Caesar instead of a Caesar Salad.
Correcting Sam's cravings which make the food she desires magically appear, Doctor Bombay reverses the spell, but accidentally makes Sam travel to the food.
After Samantha gives birth to her son, Maurice casts a spell that makes all who gaze on him fall in love with the child.
Angry that the new male child is not named after him, Maurice zaps Darrin into the mirror until the situation is corrected to his satisfaction. The child is finally named Adam.
For participating in Halloween trick-or-treating and disrespecting witches in general, Endora turns Darrin into a stereotypical Halloween witch.
While performing magic tricks for the neighborhood children, Uncle Arthur produces a "cocktail bunny" instead of a "cottontail bunny" with whom Darren's client falls in love.
Sam must make Darrin go through some strange things to prevent him from turning into a mouse at midnight.
Maurice comes for a visit and gives Darrin a magical charm challenging Darrin to try their lifestyle instead of just condemning it. Maurice also gives Darrin a warlock's point of view on the subject.
Samantha is worried about Darrin who seems to be enjoying his new found powers too much.
Mother Goose arrives courtesy of one of Esmeralda's goofs at the same time that Darrin's mother makes a surprised visit.
Darrin is turned into the ultimate yes-man by Endora until she reverses the spell.
Esmeralda goofs and zaps up Santa Claus on Christmas Eve who finds that he can't leave. Samantha brings his elves to him turning their house into Santa's toy shop.
Darrin is pulled between going to Japan and staying home with the new baby so Endora tries to help by splitting him into two people.
Samantha drinks the milk that was hexed by Esmeralda and goes on an eating binge.
After learning that plays on words helps Darrin in his line of work, Endora casts a spell that makes Darrin speak only in clichés ... whether she meant to pick on Darrin or not, Endora ends up helping Darrin in the end after all.
Samantha finally shows her powers to her mother-in-law. After Sam's powers are removed and Phyllis can't prove it to her husband, Phyllis has herself committed to a rest home.
As Samantha has too much work with the new baby to spend time with her, Tabitha conjures up her own Samantha.
To help with Uncle Arthur's ailing magic, Doctor Bombay gives him a pill that makes Arthur turn into anything he thinks of including the character Superman.
Endora gives Darrin a dose of push and drive and ends up ignoring his family.
Serena zaps away Boyce and Hart's popularity so that they will play the Cosmo Cotillion in the witchy realm. Unfortunately Darrin had just talked his client into using this 'hot' group in a television special.
When a store clerk wishes that he was a kid again, Tabitha grants his wish.
Endora hexes the daughter of Darrin's client so that she has the hots for Darrin.
Samantha her family, and every witch they summon are trapped inside the house. No one knows why.
Darrin's client falls for Samantha thinking that she is Serena.
A leprechaun sent by Endora gives Darrin a pair of shoes that make him terminally lazy.
Endora zaps in a picture of Samantha's look-a-like aunt (Serena's mother?) painted by Leonardo Da Vinci and then puts Darrin's name on it. Larry demands that he paint Louise's picture.
Samantha gives Darrin an amulet that makes Endora be nice and courteous around him. After Endora realizes the trick, she makes Samantha and Darrin constantly bicker.
Trouble abounds when a love potion meant for Esmeralda ends up in the clam dip at the Stephens' party.
